The Knights grabbed an early lead in the second inning, only to lose that lead by the end of the 3rd. They answered back right away knocking in 5 runs in the 4th inning and another 2 in the 5th to take down Shenandoah. Statistical leaders included Connor Rich going 2 for 2 with two walks, two base hits and two RBIs. Mo Lloyd added a single and a double along with an RBI, and Koby Thomas was 1 for 2 with 2 RBIs.
Tristin Hayslett started on the mound and went three innings. He allowed 3 unearned runs, struck out 6 and walked just one while allowing only two hits. Logan Barley came in to the game in the 4th and gave three strong innings securing the win. Logan didn’t give up any runs, struck out three and didn’t walk a batter while allowing 2 hits. Alex Farr then entered the game on the mound and shut down the opposition by facing the minimum 3 batters in his inning of work. He struck out two batters as well.
The Knights won’t be in action again until after Spring Break, where they will meet the Blackford Bruins for the home opener on Wednesday April 14th.
