The Lady Knight Netters were unable to back up their weekend success with a disappointing 2-3 loss to Wabash.

The #1 doubles pair of emily Gwillim/Kyrstin Gouveia secured the Knight’s first point with a 6-2,6-3 win over Alicyn Sheets/Lena Cordes. #1 singles player Drue Gentry recovered nicely from a first set loss 2-6 to win sets two and three 7-5,6-4.

Wabash swept the #2 positions in quick fashion. That set up the decisive three set marathon at #3 singles between Allison Steele and Bella Carrillo. Neither girl could consistently hold serve n an error-plagued match that Bella won for the Apaches. the Knights drop to 3-4(0-2) on the season.

Southwood won the JV match 5-1. Winners for the Knights included Makayla Murphy, Ariel Benner, and Victoria Holloway in singles. Makenna Norman/Hannah Miller and Breklynne Swisher/Madison Snyder won doubles matches.
