The Peru Bengal Tigers visited Southwood on a cold, breezy April day and defeated the Knights 4-1 in a match that could have easily been won by the Lady Knights. Unforced errors are still proving to be costly for the Lady Knights.

Allison Steele was the lone winner for the Knights at #3 singles by the score 6-1,6-3. This was Allison’s first ever varsity win. Drue Gentry lost at #1 singles 2-6,1-6. Lorynn Hunt lost at #2 singles 3-6,6-7(3) that saw Lorynn steadily improve throughout the match.. Emily Gwillim/Kyrstin Gouveia lost a long, close battle at #1 doubles 2-6,7-5,4-6. Haleigh Snyder/Courtney Andrick lost at #2 doubles 3-6,5-7. The Knights fall to 0-3 on the season., and return to action Saturday at Wawasee HS in the Wawasee Super Duals against the hosts, Columbia City and Prairie Heights.

In JV action, the doubles pair of Hannah Miller/Makenna Norman won 8-1 as did Breklynne Swisher/Madison Snyder.
