Although the Lady Knights JV softball team couldn’t pull off a win Friday night, there were still things to celebrate. It was our first game of the season to go all seven innings! Some of our fans even packed up after 5, not knowing we went more than that. Big things happen when you keep the other team from being 10 runs or more ahead. The girls played very well and had fun, ending the season on a good note. As a coach, I’m very proud of each one of them!!

Despite the loss, Southwood Knights JV did collect four hits in the high-scoring affair.

Aaliyah Douglass took the loss for Southwood Knights JV. She surrendered 13 runs on eight hits over seven innings, striking out nine.

Douglass went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Southwood Knights JV in hits. Kirsten Pecsenye and Shantel Crabtree each had a hit, Pecsenye’s being a triple.
