The Knight Harriers competed in the TRC Saturday held at Manchester High School. Given a cool, brisk morning and well designed course, the team produced a solid performance.
Braden Sweet once again gave an impressive performance as he captured the title of TRC Champion in a time of 16:11, earning All-Conference Honors. Running 2nd for the Knights and finishing in 17th place, Jacob Marlow knocked another 41 seconds off his previous PR, setting a new personal record of 18:19. Nathan Lehner ran 3rd man for the team, finishing 35th overall, and also setting a new PR of 19:36. Weslee Nelson set a new PR of 20:07 and finished 47th. Devin Danzy took over the final scoring position for the team by racing to a great personal performance of 20:33, breaking his previous PR by over 1 minute.
Also worth noting, Landon Topliff ran a Season Best time of 20:52.
Overall performances at TRC have set the Knights up mentally and physically to end the regular season and look toward the state tournament as they compete in Sectional next Saturday morning at IWU.
