The Knight Harriers competed at the Field of Dreams Saturday in the Northfield Invitational. The team finished 4 in a field of 9 teams. Braden Sweet jumped out to take an early lead and continued to break away from the rest of the pack throughout the race. Braden ran a 16:11 crushing his previous PR by 16 seconds.
Running 2nd for the Knights was Jacob Marlow finishing in 19th place and setting a new PR of 19:16. Nathan Lehner and Weslee Nelson ran 3 & 4 for the team, finishing neck in neck in 33rd and 34th place. Both runners also set new PR’s: Nathan, 20:24 & Weslee, 20:29.
Rounding out scoring for the Knights was Brayden Smith in 44th place and running a season best of 21:13. Landon Topliff finished 48th and ran a season best time of 21:36. Devin Danzy and Skylar Amos both showed significant improvements running new PR’s of 21:52 (Devin) and 21:57 (Skylar).
The Knights compete in the Marion Invite next Saturday at IWU.
