Boys Junior Varsity Baseball, Boys Varsity Baseball · KNIGHT NINERS BLANK WARRIORS


The Southwood Varsity Baseball Team got back on the winning track on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 by blanking the North Miami Warriors, 10 – 0 at North Miami.  The Knight Niners tallied in each of the first four frames  and had solid pitching to gain their 18th win of the season.

Junior Robbie Cole was the starting pitcher and threw 2 innings recording 2 strikeouts and allowing only one hit before handing the ball off to Sophomore Brennan Kelly who picked up the win while notching 5 strikeouts and allowing only Warrior hit.

Offensively, Cole had two hits including a double; Jackson Blair had a pair of hits as did Kelly.  Christian Deeter, Jake Lloyd and Brandin Frazier and Matt Cox all had a hit for the 18 and 5 Knights who finish Three Rivers Conference play with a 5 and 2 mark – a 180 degree turn around from 2013’s 2 and 5 TRC record.
